What is an NDIS Service Agreement?

What is an NDIS Service Agreement?

An NDIS Service Agreement is a written document that helps both the provider and the client understand:
What services will be provided (e.g., personal care, therapy, support)
– How often the services will be given
How much the services will cost
– How payments will be made
What happens if the client needs to cancel or change the service
How complaints or disagreements can be handled
How personal information will be kept private
How and when either side can end the agreement

Having a Service Agreement makes sure that everything is clear from the beginning, avoiding confusion or problems later.

Why is a Service Agreement Important for NDIS Providers?

When you take on a new client, a Service Agreement helps protect both your business and your client. Here’s why it’s important:

Legal Protection – It makes sure your business follows NDIS rules and protects you from legal problems.
– Clear Expectations – It tells clients exactly what they can expect, so there are no misunderstandings.
Trust and Professionalism – Clients feel safer knowing there is a written agreement in place.
Payment Security – It ensures you get paid for the services you provide.
Dispute Resolution – If there is ever a problem, both sides can look at the agreement to find a solution.
– NDIS Compliance – If you are audited, this document shows you are following the rules.
